Business Development Director

Location: Europe (Remote Based)
Salary: €50,000-€75,000

I am currently paired with a well-established, reputable European CRO who are data-driven, and quality focussed. They are seeking a Business Development Manager who will utilise their market and competitor knowledge, to generate new business opportunities and in-turn strengthen their Commercial team. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, have extensive experience of working within a CRO. The role enables autonomy, has a lucrative commission structure and boasts great work/life balance.



  • Participating in internal organizational meetings.
  • Studying and updating the technical aspects needed to fulfil the tasks assigned.
  • Checking the time usage of the entrusted team, verifying their formal and substantial consistency and evaluating all positive and negative consequences of their professional behaviour.
  • Ensuring the timely compilation of the activity tracking and attendance detection systems.
  • When necessary, translating the business documents relating to the processes in which the person is involved.
  • Carefully following the creation of RFP (request for proposal) production by colleagues and acting as the reference person for potential Clients during the whole process.
  • Arranging follow-ups with the potential Client after submitting the cost proposal and managing any questions with the help of colleagues in the various departments.
  • Visiting Clients and accurately and professionally introducing the activities of the company.
  • Keeping in contact with potential Client during the process of client acquisition, respecting the timing for communication and customer management.
  • Working with the various internal teams to develop proposals concerning the needs and objectives of potential customers.
  • Discussing with Clients all the services that the company offers, describing them accurately and always keeping informed about the various strategic proposals that the company has to offer.
  • Coordinating and verifying the appropriate and timely delivery of all the functions of the organization to the Client/partner.


They hope to grow exponentially, with plans to have an office in South Korea by the end of 2021. This role is aimed at anyone with the relevant experience who has a drive to succeed, propelling their career. This role is remote based.



  • Fluent in English
  • Experience cold calling
  • Life Science Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have Phase 1-1V experience
