Celebrating Three Years

We’re so incredibly proud to be celebrating three years here at Apsida. Every year we always take the chance to reflect on what we’ve achieved, and this year has been our most monumental yet!

 

For those who have been following our journey since the beginning, you’ll be aware that our first year was largely dominated by the pandemic, yet despite this, we were still able to grow and hire excellent talent.

 

Our second year saw us grow to 18 people, and this has nearly doubled as we hit the middle of 2022. We made a strategic internal promotion and hired Charlotte Phillips as our Talent Acquisition Manager, which has enabled us to grow at such a fast rate.

 

As mentioned in last year’s blog, sustainable growth is still front of mind for us – and to support this we have focussed on hiring senior talent as well as training support to ensure that Associate Consultants and other junior recruiters feel equipped, especially in the early stages when learning “the ropes” of recruitment can be tough!

 

We also celebrated a ton of promotions in the last year, with two of our Senior Consultants becoming Business Managers and growing out their respective teams. 

 

This is an excellent achievement not just for them personally, but also a business achievement that enables us to extend our service offerings to clients and candidates alike. 

Our company culture has been a key focus for us since celebrating our two-year anniversary, and we’ve been fortunate enough to spend more time in the office together with restrictions being completely lifted, and also being able to run a ton of incentives and team days out.

 

This naturally led to us reviewing our D&I internally and focussing on what we can do to foster a diverse and inclusive environment for all. 

 

In December 2021, we launched a quarterly internal survey which enables all employees at Apsida to have an open, anonymous forum to give us valuable feedback across key areas of our business such as training, D&I, culture, and onboarding. 

 

This feedback has been invaluable to us, not only from a D&I perspective – but also allowing us to regularly check the culture of our business through our continued growth. 

 

One of the key points raised from our surveys has been the need for D&I training and more training overall, which has led us to invest in D&I training for managers as a starting point and also appoint more L&D support.

 

This is just the beginning for us, and we’re happy to see how well it’s been received – and how effective the survey has been for us as a business to ensure that we are focussing on what employees want. 

 

Finally, we’d like to extend our regular thanks to all our candidates and clients who we have had the pleasure of speaking to and working with over these last 12 months (or three years, if you’ve been with us from the beginning) Our team is the strongest it’s ever been, and we are grateful to have an organisation that is purpose-led and passionate about the Life Sciences sector!
